Ex- "Let's Dance" candidate Benjamin Piwko is no longer married. The divorce was "peaceful and positive".

Former "Let's Dance" candidate Benjamin Piwko (40, "You can only hear well with the heart") wants to "get rid of something important". With this announcement, he surprised his fans on Instagram over the weekend. On a picture of himself he wrote: "I divorced peacefully and positively last year." The deaf actor, athlete and author did not mention the name of his former wife, Veronica Miller, in his lines.

Piwko only wrote that everyone has the "right to happiness". And further: "You need courage. With experience and mistakes you learn from it." The 40-year-old, who together with "Let's Dance" professional Isabel Edvardsson (38) took third place in the dance show in 2019, reminded his fans that life goes on "as long as you are still breathing and happy".

You lived in the USA and in Hamburg

Piwko and Miller, an American, met in 2011 on the social media platform Facebook. During a joint fitness training session, it finally sparked between the two of them. They married and she moved to Germany for him. In the summer of 2019, however, Miller said in an interview with Gala magazine that she missed her home very much. "It wasn't easy for me in the long run." Piwko moved to the USA for love, and since then the couple has had two places of residence, in New Orleans and Hamburg.
