Which products are affected? As reported by our colleagues from Current wifeit is compotes in reduced-sugar gourds 12 x 90 grams of the distributor’s reference brand E.Leclerc. The barcode of the product is as follows: 3 564 700 416 037, followed by the numbers 1 and 0. If these compotes must absolutely not be consumed, it is because of the presence beyond the regulatory limits of patulin. It is a mycotoxin, a substance produced by microscopic fungi, mainly moldwhich sometimes develops on some vegetables, fruits or cereals during their cultivation and/or storage. This substance presents a health risk in the event of significant and repeated consumption over the long term.
