Big rush – There was no Sunday rest when vaccinating

The rush for vaccination buses and other regional immunization campaigns continues unabated. Unlike in other federal states, vaccinations are now carried out daily in Lower Austria. And so on Sunday, thousands of citizens picked up their first, second or third dose of vaccine.

The vaccination continued until 9 p.m. on Sunday. The data are always evaluated at night, proof of the tireless efforts of those responsible at Notruf NÖ.

Multiple clusters
Rising numbers and growing clusters continue to cause concern for the state’s medical staff: The number of those infected who attended a concert in Wiener Neustadt rose to 16. At an event in Waidhofen an der Ybbs, 24 people are likely to have been infected. After the fire in Hirschwang, 27 firefighters are now considered positive. The Scheibbs district was also badly hit: there are now a total of 58 infected people in two companies. No wonder that domestic politicians are still desperately promoting the vaccination.

Entrance ticket for vaccination bus
However, the campaigns do not always run smoothly: In Tulln, where the vaccination bus was last at the wellness fair, visitors without an admission ticket did not get to the train on Friday for the time being. On Saturday, a second vaccination street was built that could also be visited free of charge.
