The Weeknd is a favorite at this year’s Billboard Music Awards. The Canadian singer competes in 17 categories.
The Weeknd (32) leads the list of the potential winners at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, released this Friday (April 8). The Canadian musician can dust off prizes in 17 categories, including “Top Artist”. Rapper Doja Cat (26) follows him with 14 mentions. Justin Bieber (28), Ye aka Kanye West (44) and Olivia Rodrigo (19) were each included in 13 categories. In total, prizes are awarded in 62 categories.
The Billboard Music Awards are annual sales awards from the trade magazine Billboard that honor the most successful musicians and bands of the year. The awards ceremony will take place on May 15th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Nick Jonas (29) hosted the show last year, the host for 2022 has not yet been announced.
