Blade & Sorcery: the next U11 update will be REALLY magical!

Blade & Sorcerythe iconic sandbox magic and combat simulator of the VR is no longer to be presented and continues to delight its community over time. Thus, after regular updates including the recent addition of the mode dungeon or the exit of Blade & Sorcery Nomad for autonomous helmets, here is that the studio WarpFrog tackles the magic effects that will have a new look by adorning themselves for the occasion with new effects VFX or sound. Already very pretty at the base, we therefore risk taking our eyes off them again. Thus, the fire will benefit from new effects of particles, heat distortion and improved smoke. The lightning will be more crackling, its trails more erratic and more robust. Finally, gravity spells will get a new shimmering purple mist, and an audio overhaul will bring more appropriate and menacing bass to match even more with the nature of the vortex effect. But that’s not all, since certain magical effects will enrich a gameplay already greatbut enough talk, let’s get to the heart of the matter!

Who has never tried to merge the fireballs of his two hands to swing a good big Kame Hame-Ha ? Well, it’s done with the new spell Meteor which will allow you to take yourself for a real Super Saiyajin, and roast everything in a deluge of flames ! And si like Gandalf you treasure your scepter more than anything (and you have a thing for lady Galadriel), know that you will now be able to cast spells without even having to let go of your staff, like a true master of Aikido, and thus swinging fireballs with all your might (or rather stick) while keeping both hands on them. Dropping it suddenly on the ground will also send two fireballs like magic missiles towards your enemies, with a chance of missing them.

The studio recalls that this type of element is still in Work In Progress and that we will get a glimpse of it for ourselves in the game. Be aware that to get rid of a compact crowd, it will be possible to release the full force of lightning in an electric shock wave all around you., ideal for calming the ardor of your most optimistic opponents. VSlet’s continue this good momentum with the new spell Lightning Arcreal electric whisk (no, not the kitchen appliance), bursting from your scepter and able to stun those it touches, but also amputate or decapitate at medium range. And how not to speak of electricity without stating the principle of electrical conductivity? Thus we will see in action the conductive power of lightning which will propagate from one metallic material to another in a sometimes uncontrolled way. But be careful not to electrically charge your enemies’ weapons if you don’t want them to benefit from this effect against you. We are already imagining planting a sword in the back of our adversary which can then serve as a lightning rod on command. Finally, once Shocked, enemies will now drop their weapons, which previously seemed to absorb its effects.

While we were so far unaffected by our own gravity bubble, now we will now be perfectly submitted to it, which will make us lighter and able to jump higher and slower. Combined with the new Gravity Jump requiring the gravity wave to be projected onto the ground, this will allow us to make giant leaps to cross great distances or to fall with the maximum force on the heads of our opponents. But if you wish to fall back with flexibility such Iron Manthen you would prefer the ability Gravity Glide, a way to glide smoothly to the ground with the class of a superhero Marvel. Besides being cool to use, these features should open up new dungeon traversal options, which will please players who hate climbing. Finally, gravity will be usable directly with the scepters to suspend objects in weightlessness before using them as clubs, or throwing them at enemies.
