After laborious communication on season 2 of Diablo 4, Blizzard is trying to make everything disappear. But the Internet recorded everything unfortunately.
Diablo 4 may be a success and a generous game, but the post-launch was rather stormy. While everyone should have welcomed season 1 with joy, that was not the case at all. It created a lot of frustration and criticism arose. But for season 2, Blizzard is keen to do much better… except that things are off to a bad start for the studio.
Failed communication for Diablo 4 Season 2
What happened at Blizzard? Before the launch of season 2 of Diablo 4, this Tuesday, October 17, the publisher published a short video on X. The objective was to summarize “some of the best changes brought by the Season of Blood”. It was a good initiative on paper, but that was before YouTuber Taxxanterax discovered a bunch of errors in the trailer.
In this trailer, deleted at the time of writing, we could see a before/after comparison of the map layout of Diablo 4. The problem is that the two images have been swapped . In other words, the after was the before and vice versa. And it does not stop there. The horse’s speed, which was supposed to be better in season 2, was identical. There is also a demonstration on the new features in terms of XP, but again, gross errors have crept in. The way of calculating was not correct, and therefore, the result was totally distorted.
A lunar situation which had the merit of amusing the videographer. “I’m trying to create excitement around this season 2 of Diablo 4. But you (editor’s note: Blizzard) are making it very difficult for me. BlizzCon arrived. If you want to send me all your presentations in advance by signing a non-disclosure agreement in order to double check…”. A mistake along the way which failed to pass between the drops.
Season 2 of Diablo 4 will be available in a few hours and it promises to be a titanic project given the patch notes published by Blizzard. New features that will definitely bring players back according to the company. “There are a lot of things that have been received very positively by the fans. I’ve had a lot of positive conversations with very enthusiastic people about the changes. I think it’s enough of a motivator for players to come back and play.”.
