The Netflix animated series “Blue Eye Samurai” was enthusiastically received by fans and a second season is already certain. But that’s just the beginning if the series creators have their way.

Not only “Game of Thrones” creator George RR Martin has discovered “Blue Eye Samurai”, numerous Netflix subscribers are enthusiastic about the exciting and brutal animated series, which started on November 3, 2023 on the streaming service.
Netflix then extended the series for a second season, the story of which was already thought up in advance by the series creators. But season 2 is just the beginning of the samurai saga according to Michael Green and Amber Noizumi.

In an interview with Screenrant, Green and Noizumi spoke about their long-term plans for “Blue Eye Samurai” before the first season began.
Michael Green: The plan is ready. Season two has an approved draft. In our hearts, we want to tell at least three or four seasons. We know the end of this story. We would like to continue it. We know the spin-off…
Amber Noizumi: A spin-off series in which Ringo
Michael Green: We know exactly where this will lead in the future. We just hope that audiences show up for the original story and demand another story.
Netflix will probably first wait for the success of season 2 before further seasons and the briefly mentioned Ringo spin-off go into production. As things stand, it is likely that “Blue Eye Samurai” will be with us for several more years.
