Bluepoint Games (Demon’s Souls) reassures players for its next game

For years, Bluepoint Games remained in the shadows, only developing remastered versions of games PlayStationwhether it be God of War Collection, The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection or Gravity Rush Remastered. But, in 2020, the American studio launched a stunning remake of Demon’s Souls to accompany the release of the PS5.

A title which has distributed two million copies worldwide, not bad for one Action RPG renowned for being particularly demanding, much more thanElden Ring where the Dark Souls. A success which saw Bluepoint Games be bought by Sony in 2021, the studio then announced that it was working on a new video game, a first for this talented team. But since then, no news of this project…

Between layoffs and canceled games, players are worried, but chief technology officer Peter Dalton reassured fans. First touting Hidetaka Miyazaki’s policy of not sending anyone home FromSoftware as long as he was director of the studio, Peter Dalton then answered to a fan asking for news of the next game Bluepoint Games. An obvious, but reassuring answer:

Nothing has changed since our statement that we are working on an original title. Everything takes time. We are committed to perfecting our skills!

The new video game of Bluepoint Games is therefore still in the pipeline, but players will have to be patient before finding out. Creating a game from scratch is much more complicated than making remasters or remakes, developers want to take their time, they have a lot to play for so as not to remain a simple support studio in the eyes of Sony.

While waiting to know what we are preparing Bluepoint Gamesyou can find the remake of Demon’s Souls from €46.99 on Amazon, Cdiscount And Fnac.
