The end of the Californian adventure for BNP Paribas. As expected for several months, BNP Paribas has decided to sell its retail banking network across the Atlantic, Bank of the West. The French bank announced Monday an agreement in this direction with the Canadian Bank of Montreal (BMO).
“BNP Paribas has reached an agreement with BMO Financial Group for the sale of 100% of its commercial banking activities in the United States operated by its subsidiary Bank of the West Inc. for a total price consideration of $ 16.3 billion Americans in cash, ”the group said in a statement.
