What is the difference between body butter and body lotion?
The crucial difference between a body lotion and a body butter is the richness of the body butter. You can already tell by their (firm) consistency. It is therefore particularly suitable for very dry and stressed skin. The cause of the high-care skin is irrelevant. Whether you only tend to have dry skin in winter due to the change between cold and heated air, or whether you want or need to take more care in the summer after intensive sunbathing – body butter is always suitable. This also applies if you simply have naturally very dry skin.
What is body butter used for?
You can use a body butter all over the body or apply it specifically to high-care areas such as elbows, knees or lower legs. Since the rich care product does not absorb quite as quickly as a body lotion, it is advisable that you plan a short moment before getting into your wardrobe.
- Body: legs, arms, individual parts such as elbows, knees, feet, etc.
- Face: lips or large area as protection against the cold
- Hair: tips, lengths
What time of year do you use body butter?
Whether you use body butter all year round or just at a certain time depends largely on your skin and your needs. In times when you are not exposed to extremely sub-zero temperatures or strong sunlight, daily care with body butter can be a bit too much of a good thing. Then you can temporarily switch to your body lotion and, for example, only use body butter once a week.
How does solid body butter work?
Solid body butter has several advantages over its creamy counterpart. In terms of volume, they take up less space, which is a plus point when traveling. In addition, due to their solid shape, they can be packaged in a much more environmentally friendly way. If you use a solid body butter, you can simply warm it slightly in your hands and run the product directly over the skin. This works best when your skin or hands are slightly moistened. Alternatively, you can foam up the body butter a little and spread the resulting mass over your body with your hands.
If you don’t know what to do with the body butter after using it, this is suitable vesselwhich is actually intended for solid soap, for drying and storage.
