From Mon Crime to mon Scream, there is only one step! The 6th installment of the horror saga takes second place on the 1st day in France, beaten by the new film by François Ozon. With 82,0004 admissions, Mon Crime is ahead of Scream 6 and its 76,914 spectators.

This new opus of Ghostface killings starts twice as well as the previous installment released in January 2022 (34,201 admissions). For comparison, the 3rd installment started off terrifying 264,000 horror fans and the 4th episode drew 109,000 people on its 1st day.

However, we do not have the figures for the starts of the first two films of the saga, which had ended their exploitation in France with 2.2 and 2.1 million tickets sold.

As for François Ozon, he pulverizes the score of his previous feature film, Peter Von Kant, which had attracted only 14,000 curious people when it was released on July 6, 2022.

Mon Crime is the filmmaker’s best start since 2010 with Potiche (110,000 admissions). Her record remains the 1st day of 8 Women in 2002 (170,000 tickets torn). On the 3rd step of the podium, The Whale, worn by Brendan Fraser, peaked at just over 7,000 admissions.
