Boy steals the cap from the Pope at a general audience

The about ten-year-old child, who is apparently learning disabled, suddenly appeared next to Francis on Wednesday. The boy picked up the Pope’s pileolus, then took Francis’ hands and then sat on his right on a chair from which a cardinal had stood for the boy.

The head of the Catholic Church followed the incident with an amused look. “I thank this child for the lesson it has taught us all today,” said the 84-year-old Pope. It was “a testimony that came from his heart”. A little later the boy went back to the other spectators – on his head he wore a white pope cap that Francis had given him.
