When Jair Bolsonaro (66) was admitted to the hospital in the capital Brasília on Wednesday, he complained of constant heat and stomach pain. But his condition is said to be significantly worse. Because of this, he was transferred to the Vila Nova Star Hospital in São Paulo, as the Ministry of Communications announced on Wednesday.
There the doctors checked the need for an emergency operation, as reported by the news portal “Globo”. This will not be necessary for the time being, but the president will have to stay in the hospital for further treatment.
“We’ll be back soon”
A picture was posted on Bolsonaro’s Twitter account on Wednesday showing the president in the hospital bed: tubes and measuring devices are attached to his nose, heart and fingers. A priest is probably standing next to him, putting a hand on his arm. Under the picture it says: “We will be back soon, God willing. Brazil is ours! “

Meanwhile, his son, Flávio Bolsonaro (40), spoke to the Brazilian radio station “Jovem Pan” about his father’s health. The politician confirms: “He underwent an endoscopy and also did some imaging tests that revealed a blockage in the intestines.” His father is in the intensive care unit for optimal care.
Since Bolsonaro was seriously injured in a knife attack in 2018, he has had health problems again and again. In July 2020 he fell ill with corona.
