Many Internet users complain about access problems on Instagram. The social network seems to be experiencing a breakdown in its services.
Was the social network the victim of a major outage this Monday, October 31, 2022? The editor was unable to reproduce the problem and can correctly access Instagram from several different internet connections.
And yet, according to the Downdetector site, many Internet users have had problems accessing the social network giant since 2:00 p.m. The hashtag #instagramdown quickly became a trend on Twitter, which led Instagram to react.
Instagram is working to fix the outage
On Twitter, Instagram announced that some users of the social network could no longer access their account. So it seems that it is not a network problem, but rather an internal Instagram configuration problem.

The accounts of the editorial staff do not seem to be affected. The problem probably affects a random number of accounts, regardless of the internet connection.
We imagine that the problem should quickly be corrected.
Massively deleted or banned accounts?
According to the feedback of several Internet users on the hashtag #instagramdown, their Instagram account would appear to have been deleted. An internal error may have led Instagram to initiate emergency maintenance to reinstate abnormally banned accounts.
