Attentive fans have noticed a historical flaw in the hit Netflix series "Bridgerton".

With over 65 million viewers in the first few days after its release, "Bridgerton" is one of the most successful series on the Netflix streaming service. Attentive fans have now discovered a historical error in the opening credits of the series, which takes place in 1813 during the Regency era. In the scene you can see horse-drawn carriages common at the time, driving along a street. But what is noticeable are the yellow lines on the edge of the road – they have only existed in Great Britain since the 1960s.

"I'm on episode two and I've already seen a yellow line and a modern manhole cover," writes a Twitter user. "I didn't realize that the 19th century British were such pioneers." Other fans noticed a poster of the fashion chain Primark in the background of a scene. Another user is surprised that there were seedless grapes in 1813.

Second season of "Bridgerton" confirmed

Will the Shondaland production company pay more attention to historically accurate details in the future? Just a few days ago, Netflix confirmed that the series will have a second season, in which everything will revolve around the love life of Daphne Bridgerton's (Phoebe Dynevor, 25) older brother Anthony (Jonathan Bailey, 32).
