At 67, Christine Engrand, commercial director of a training organization, delighted the sixth district of Pas-de-Calais with the outgoing Brigitte Bourguignon, Minister of Health who will have to leave the government.
The election was decided with 56 votes. Brigitte Bourguignon lost the sixth constituency of Pas-de-Calais by 56 votes against her rival Christine Engrand. The latter indeed collected 21,858 votes against 21,802 for the Minister of Health. Abstention in this constituency exceeded 50%. Brigitte Bourguignon was elected deputy in the sixth constituency of Pas-de-Calais under the colors of the Socialist Party in 2012, then re-elected in 2017 under those of La République en Marche.

Native of Boulogne-sur-Mer, Christine Engrand joined the RN in 2014, spotted by Philippe Emery, elected RN of Dunkirk for, she says, her skills in vocational training. Grandmother, she claims to have engaged in politics for her granddaughters, “because I don’t know which France we are going to leave them”. Elected regional councilor in 2015, she was reappointed in 2021. She is also an opposition municipal councilor in Calais.
Holder of a DESS in economics and political science, she notably managed stores for the Kiabi brand and duty-free shops for Eurotunnel. Widowed since December 2021 of a former general practitioner, she loves hiking and jazz.
