The wife of the President of the Republic Brigitte Macron is in Angoulême on the occasion of the 15th edition of the Francophone Film Festival.

While Emmanuel Macron flew to Algeria for a three-day official visit to Algeria, intended to turn the page on the estrangement and “rebuild” a relationship that remains marked by the weight of the past, his wife Brigitte is in Charente this Thursday, on the occasion of the 15th edition of the Francophone Film Festival. She had lunch at the Lion Rouge restaurant and will visit the Pathé exhibition, “La Charente Libre” tells us. She will then attend the screening of the film “Dalva”, which will be preceded by the short film “1432” by Alix Poisson.
A debate after a screening
Emmanuelle Nicot’s first film, “Dalva” paints the portrait of a 12-year-old girl who dresses, wears makeup and lives like a woman. One evening, she is suddenly taken from her father’s home. At first revolted and in total incomprehension, she will meet Jayden, an educator, and Samia, a teenager with a strong character. A new life then seems to be offered to Dalva, that of a young girl of her age… In the distribution, we find Zelda Samson, Alexis Manenti, Fanta Guirassy, Marie Denarnaud and Roman Coustère Hachez. After the screening, Brigitte Macron, accompanied by Charlotte Caubel, Secretary of State for Children; will take part in a debate with the public.
Brigitte Macron had already walked the streets of the Charente city last year, to discover “CE2” by Jacques Doillon, still unpublished in theaters, and participate in a debate on childhood in danger.
