Britney Spears and her sister Jamie Lynn Spears have had a strained relationship for years, but the current catfight between them publicly seems to be escalating.
The catfight between sisters Britney Spears, 40, and Jamie Lynn Spears, 30, appears to have reached a head after Jamie Lynn opened up about her sister in an emotional TV interview. This TV appearance even prompted death threats against Jamie Lynn’s family, the New York Post reports. Since then, the two have exchanged allegations. Britney accuses her sister of just trying to market her new book at her expense, but Jamie Lynn is now about to turn around.
Britney Spears: “I love my sister unconditionally, but…”
“My family ruined my dreams 100 billion percent and tried to make me look like the crazy one,” Britney tweeted after Jamie Lynn’s interview, calling her sister “scum”: “My family loves to put me down and always hurt me , I’m disgusted with them!” Britney first blasted her sister in posts for never having to work for anything in her life, but then she wrote, “I know you’ve worked hard for the life you have and you’ve done amazing!!! !But I think we’d both have to agree to the fact that our family has never been as hard on you as it was on me!!!What Dad did to me, they don’t even do to criminals.. ..so you sit back and speaking totally distanced to what happened to me is frankly crazy to me!!!”

The ‘Toxic’ singer argues that her family treated her like dirt and says she is “genuinely shocked” that her father Jamie Spears, 69, is not in prison. “All I know is that I love you unconditionally love!!!” Write them to Jamie Lynn. “So go ahead and say what you want… it’s so sordid to fight so publicly within the family!!! You say you love me… but your loyalty is still with the people who have hurt me the most !!!”
Nurse Jamie Lynn begs Britney to just give her a call
Jamie Lynn Spears is now waving the white flag, trying to keep the situation private and imploring her sister to take the war back to private levels in an Instagram post on her story on Sunday, January 16: “Britney “just give me a call. I’ve tried a number of times to speak to you directly and keep this private as sisters should, but you still choose to take it all out on a public platform. In the meantime, please listen stop saying I wasn’t there for you or that I’m making things up,” pleads Jamie Lynn. “You know how many times I’ve tried to reach you, supported you and tried to help. This is embarrassing and needs to stop. Love you.”
