Will Britney Spears soon be rid of her father as guardian for good? Now a document emerged in which he indicated a voluntary withdrawal.

Significant change in the guardianship dispute between Britney Spears (39) and her father Jamie (69)! As US media unanimously report, his lawyer submitted a document to the court in which it was stated for the first time that her client wanted to resign as guardian under certain conditions “when the time is ripe”. When this will actually be the case, Jamie and his lawyers kept open. There are currently at least no reasons for a “suspension or dismissal” as his daughter has called for.

At the moment, however, in his opinion it is “highly questionable whether a change of guardian at this point in time would be in the best interests of Ms. Spears”. A transition must also take place in an orderly manner and include a resolution of all matters brought before the court. The court should therefore influence his daughter so that all points can be discussed at a meeting.

Jamie Spears also justifies his behavior retrospectively in the letter. He helped his daughter when she was “in a crisis and urgently needed help”. She “suffered mentally and emotionally”, was in financial distress and was “manipulated by predators”. He always wanted to protect Britney with his commitment.

Britney’s lawyer reacts with drastic words

The “People” magazine is already the first reaction by Britney’s new attorney Mathew Rosengart. And it has it all: It is a “great victory and a further step towards justice”. He and his team will continue to work “aggressively and quickly” towards a suspension or removal of Jamie Spears as his client’s guardian. He looks forward to “continuing his energetic investigation into Mr. Spears’ behavior”.

Jamie Spears would have made “millions of dollars” from his client’s fortune from his perspective, and Rosengart is looking forward to hearing his affidavits in court in the near future. Until then, he should either resign immediately or, better still, remain silent. In any case, he should refrain from denigrating his own daughter and making false accusations.

Spears was incapacitated in 2008 and her father Jamie was used as a guardian. The 39-year-old has been fighting against this guardianship for some time. Her election of a new lawyer had been approved in July. Rosengart then officially submitted an application to replace the singer’s father as financial guardian.
