The cast for the series "Burial of a Dog" is available. Ex- "Tatort" star Friedrich Mücke and new commissioner Daniel Sträßer are there.

The planned eight-part drama series "Burial of a Dog" (Sky) has been given a face, or rather several.

According to the broadcaster, the main roles are next to the former Weimar "Tatort" star Friedrich Mücke (39, "Ballon") and the new "Tatort" commissioner from Saarbrücken, Daniel Sträßer (born 1987), and Albrecht Schuch (35 , "Systemsprenger"), the Finnish actress Alina Tomnikov (32, "Arctic Circle"), Ina Geraldine Guy and Anne Ratte-Polle (born 1974, "The spoken word counts"). The latter caused a stir with her unforgettable acceptance speech at the award ceremony of the Bavarian Film Prize 2020.

This is what "Burial of a Dog" is about

The Munich journalist Daniel Mandelkern (Albrecht Schuch) hastily leaves his wife Elisabeth Emmerich (Anne Ratte-Polle) and travels to Italy for an interview with the celebrated German writer Mark Svensson (Friedrich Mücke), where he retreats with the photographer Kiki Kaufmann ( Ina Geraldine Guy) is alive.

Mandelkern's stay is supposed to only last a few hours, but Tuuli Kovero (Alina Tomnikov), Svensson's heroine and eternal love, asks him to stay and so Mandelkern is drawn into their lives in a fatal way. He becomes entangled in a fascinating story that he thinks he knows from Svensson's novel: a love triangle that began in Colombia, blossomed in Finland, broke up in New York and finally ends with the mysterious disappearance of Felix Blaumeiser (Daniel Sträßer).

The series is based on the novel "Bestattung eines Hundes" ("Funeral For A Dog") by Thomas Pletzinger. The broadcast date is not yet known.
