Call of Duty 2023 has laid a new foundation for fighting cheats with the latest improvements and tweaks from the RICOCHET team. The team presented their approaches in a recently published progress report.
The introduction of a new anti-cheat measure called “Hallucinations” is intended to disorient cheaters and disrupt their game activity. It does this by creating objects that look and move like real players, but are only visible to system-detected cheaters.
Dealing with the use of third-party hardware
Regarding the use of third-party hardware, the team implemented a detection feature. Players using these devices will face warnings and account bans. According to Call of Duty, this has already resulted in a 59% drop in the use of such devices.
In addition, intentionally false reporting or spam reporting by players should also lead to account sanctions. With continued improvements, the team may be looking to perfect the anti-cheat system by the time Call of Duty 2023 launches.

However, you still have to wait until you can test the anti-cheat system in Call of Duty 2023. The game doesn’t have an official release date yet, but a judge may have leaked the release timeline.
