Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty Warzone Pacific will see their second season postponed at the start of 2022. Activision announces that it wants to focus on balancing the game and optimizing the experience.

Sad news for Call of Duty fans this Thursday, Activision, developer of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty Warzone Pacific just announced on his vlog the postponement of the second season of these two games. According to the developers, the new season would not be completely polished yet, and they want to continue to balance and optimize the experience.

This season 2 will be released next February 14 instead of February 2, release date originally planned, 12 days late for Activision’s game.

For the moment, we have deployed lots of updates but more needed. For this reason, we have decided to postpone the launch of Season 2 on Warzone Pacific and Vanguard to February 14. We’ll use this reprieve to optimize gameplay, balancing, to improve game stability and fix bugs so that all Call of Duty players have the best possible experience.

– Activision on his blog

All these changes should come within a future patch aimed at adjusting the core gameplay, mechanics and balance of all of Call of Duty. Whereas the Activision-Blizzard group has just been acquired by the giant Microsoft, the studio also explains its communication problems concerning the old Call of Duty games, considered by fans as often neglected after the release of a new opus. Activision responds to them by telling them they want to improve their communication around this subject so that it is more frequent and more varied, in order to improve the experience of the players.
