Camilla Parker Bowles: scratched by Prince Harry, Elizabeth II would have been “devastated”


After Prince Harry’s statements about his mother-in-law during the promotion of her memoir, Queen Consort Camilla reacted quickly.

Memoirs of Prince Harry, The Substitute (Spare), are released this January 10, 2023 all over the world and this story of the life of the 38-year-old father promises to continue to shake up a royal family already in turmoil. During promotional interviews for his book, notably on the British channel ITV and on the American channel CBS, Prince Harry opened up about his stepmother, Camilla, when it was one of the limits not to cross for his father King Charles III. According to his words, Prince Harry considers his father’s wife as a woman “dangerous“, in particular because of his relations with the British press. According to Vanity Fairrelatives of the Queen Consort explained that the latter was simply “stunned by this whole story”.

The one Prince Harry values dangerous and allegedly the source of many leaked stories in British tabloids still had the merit of making King Charles III happy, which Prince Harry and his brother Prince William readily admit. Still, the battle rages on and the publication of Prince Harry’s memoirs will not help matters. According to sources close to the royal family quoted by Vanity FairHarry is “on a self-destructive path. (…) The late Queen Elizabeth II would have been devastated“by all that is happening within the British monarchy.

Prince Harry: ‘I’ve always loved my brother’

Despite all that has been said and all that remains to be said about the royal family, Prince Harry remains optimistic and, as he explained during his promotional interviews, still hopes for a reconciliation with the rest of his family. “I have always loved my brother. (…) I hope that one day we can have a constructive discussion”. In his memoirs, Archie and Lilibet’s father confesses, however, that his brother now thinks therapy brainwashed him, although as he explained to the reporter who interviewed him, Harry felt happier than he ever had. On the side of the royal family, no official statement has been made regarding the famous memoirs.
