Camping is trendy: But many Germans don't feel like it, the survey shows

As a result, 78 percent of those surveyed consider it unlikely to go on a campsite this summer. Only 18 percent think this is likely. For respondents who have already taken a camping holiday, it is more likely (24 percent).

Camping holidays are not comfortable enough, say 50 percent of those surveyed

Among those who think a camping holiday this summer is likely, 37 percent cite the lower risk of infection at a campsite as the main reason being out in the fresh air. Another 37 percent agree that they are flexible when camping and that they can change location at any time if there are safety concerns. Half of the respondents (50 percent) think that camping holidays are not very comfortable.

The citizens surveyed most frequently (40 percent) would like to experience camping in a mobile home and the second most frequently in a camping bungalow (22 percent). 15 percent prefer the tent and 13 percent prefer the caravan.
