Forests, mountains or beach: the main thing is nature – a real relaxation on vacation. So that this works and you can relax, you will find a detailed packing list for camping here. Also to print out and check off – so you don’t forget anything!

The long-awaited vacation is just around the corner – but before you jump in the car and drive off, there are a few things you should think about! So that you really don’t forget anything, we have put together a packing list for your camping holiday. Also to print out so you really think of everything ?.

Camping: with suitcase or backpack?

Whether you go camping with a suitcase or with a backpack is a matter of belief. Yes, you have to carry a lot of weight with a backpack, on the other hand you don’t have to roll a suitcase over badly paved paths, grass, stones and mud – as long as it can do it at all and you don’t have to tuck it under your arm at the end.

Camping packing list: where to go?

If you are camping in a rather warm and sunny country, you will probably be able to do without an umbrella and take plenty of sunscreen and a beach shelter with you. You should also inform yourself about the following in advance of your arrival or your stay:

  • you need one for your travel destination Visa?
  • how much does a ride with Ferry?
  • do you need a Vignette?
  • how are you in Health insurance abroad?

The following list covers a basic inventory that you can use when camping and should be adjusted and/or supplemented depending on the destination.

Camping packing list – start on time

The destination is set, the campsite is booked, now it’s time to pack. It is important for you to find out beforehand how the campsite is equipped. Is there e.g. a kitchen? This way you can possibly save valuable space in the car – and even more so if you are traveling without a car! Start packing for camping in good time (about two weeks before departure) so you still have enough time to replace a broken tent, get adapters, buy enough basic provisions, etc.
