Canal+ cancels the UFO(s) series

Yet highly appreciated by critics and unanimously recognized as a great success, the French series UFO(s) unfortunately will stop at two seasons, according to Telerama. The fault, as always in this type of case, with hearings deemed insufficient by its broadcaster and producer, Canal +. After Funnycanceled by Netflix after its first season, it’s a new blow for French comedy in series format.

With actor Melvil Poupaud at the top of the bill, UFO(s) told the story of Gepan, a French organization responsible for detecting extraterrestrial phenomena in France. The series shone with its constant shift and its cheeky characters. The third season was “on stand-by” according to co-creator Martin Douaire. A petition had even been launched to accelerate the development of a sequel, but the latter will never see the light of day. The series will therefore have no real epilogue.
