Deutsche Bahn offers BahnCards that you can use to discounted ticket prices receives. You can test this offer with the so-called Probe BahnCard. If you are not satisfied afterwards and do not want to keep your trial BahnCard, you can easily cancel it. We will show you what your contact point is and what options you have.

Sample BahnCard: You should pay attention to this when canceling
notice period
The Probe BahnCard is available in different models, for example the Probe BahnCard 25 with a 25% discount on the flexible price and savings offers for long-distance transport. However, all cards have one thing in common three-month test period as well as the period of notice: You can get your BahnCard trial without obligation no later than 6 weeks before the end of the term cancel before the three months are up.
Attention: Automatic renewal
Note, however, that your Trial BahnCard automatically into a regular BahnCard subscription will pass if you fail to give notice of termination in good time. Then you have a BahnCard annual subscription with a minimum contract period of one year. How to cancel your BahnCard afterwards, we explain in another article. There are several ways to cancel: contact formby e-mail or by post Office. We will briefly introduce you to all the routes.

There is already a corresponding contact form for canceling BahnCards. Otherwise you can access the official Deutsche Bahn website via the “help and contact“, “BahnCard“ and “Frequently asked questions about the BahnCard” on the keyword “Cancel” and the contact form.
- You have to do this easily with your personal data and the numberwhich you can find on your sample BahnCard.
- As subject you choose either “Cancellation of your BahnCard 25” or “Cancellation of your BahnCard 50“.
- With a click on “Submit“ Your notice of termination will be sent to Deutsche Bahn.
Alternatively, you can also informally cancel by email. Please don’t forget to include your contact details and BahnCard number so that an assignment can be made. Contact the following email address:
