A woman in the canton of Bern intentionally infected herself and her children with the corona virus. She justified her decision to the Tamedia newspapers by saying that she was allergic and therefore could not be vaccinated against the virus. When there was an infection in her private environment, she wanted to take advantage of it. She organized used chopsticks, which she stuck up her nose.
She had a mild course: headache, loss of taste, fever up to 38 degrees, chills, general lethargy. Six days later she had no symptoms. Her older children would have decided themselves to participate in the infection. The smaller ones were with her anyway, so they would have had to go into quarantine anyway.
Sharp criticism from doctors
This argument met with strong rejection from the medical society of the canton of Bern, as the Tamedia newspapers continue to write. “Anyone who offers such cures is acting medically and socially extremely irresponsibly,” it says.

After all, the course of the disease cannot be predicted in the event of a corona infection – a stay in the hospital or even in the intensive care unit is also possible with an intentional infection. “There is no certain contagion,” confirms the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG).
“People with allergies, autoimmune diseases or immunodeficiencies can also be vaccinated,” the Swiss Society for Allergology and Immunology told the Tamedia newspapers. Allergic reactions after vaccination are generally extremely rare. And even in these cases, a second vaccination and booster are possible.
