A Spar supermarket was attacked in Bregenz on Friday afternoon. The perpetrator stole cash in an unknown amount and fled. The police started a manhunt.
At 5:35 p.m., a man covered in dark outerwear entered a supermarket on Bregenzer Landstrasse. The stranger had a gun with him. He stole cash and then probably disappeared on a black mountain bike in the direction of the old forest railway tunnel. What exactly happened in the supermarket is still completely unclear. But one thing is certain: there was no fire, luckily nobody was injured.
The alerted police immediately started a manhunt in the lowlands. Helicopters circled over the city, the motorway exits were carefully checked by armed officials. The man we are looking for is about 1.70 meters tall, corpulent, spoke Vorarlberg dialect and wore blue jeans. He was probably between 20 and 30 years old.
