How could it be otherwise: Ironically, during a fun campaign as part of the TV show “Catch!” Oliver Pocher injured his thumb.

Comedian Oliver Pocher (43) had to experience the fact that even the child’s game of catching is not free of risks in yesterday’s edition (February 11) of the Sat.1 show “Catch! Kampf der Continenten 2022”. The 43-year-old injured his thumb during a fun action with host Simon Pearce (40) outside of the competition.

Pocher had not challenged Pearce to a private duel in catching, but unluckily slipped. Because his competitor wasn’t able to stop in time, he also ended up on the unlucky one. Pocher was promptly brought an ice pack for his injured thumb, and a diagnosis was quickly made: a capsule injury.

New catch world champion

Even before the action, Pocher joked: “It would be so incredibly stupid if I injured myself now. Like in a friendly game against Liechtenstein, where nothing is at stake.” But the comedian gritted his teeth and in the end was able to prevail with his team against the defending champions Team Africa.
