The separation from Mats gnawed at Cathy Hummels for a long time, her body was getting weaker. The ex-player’s wife now wants to change that – and has already had some success.
For Cathy Hummels, 35, a new chapter has begun with the divorce from her husband Mats Hummels, 34, the entrepreneur is again concentrating fully on herself and her body, which has suffered a lot from the separation. Cathy now wants to change that.
Cathy Hummels has “gained four kilos”
“I changed my diet in January and started eating some meat again and no longer eat purely vegan,” reveals the author in an interview with “Bunte”. In addition to the change in diet, the 35-year-old is also increasingly doing strength training with weights – and it is paying off. “In the meantime I’ve gained four kilos,” announces Cathy Hummels proudly and is ruthlessly honest:
I never want to feel so weak again. I’ve spent years taking care of my soul while neglecting my body.
How well she feels in her body again is shown by the former player’s wife in the current “Playboy” together with her sister Vanny Fischer.
Divorce after seven years of marriage
In addition to the many physical changes, Cathy Hummels also wants a happy ending for her heart. “I would like to fall in love again and I’m excited about the future,” says the mother of a son to “Bunte”.

Cathy and Mats Hummels were married for seven years, in 2015 they said yes in Munich, three years later their son Ludwig crowned their marital bliss. But their love has not been under a good star in recent years, and rumors of separation have been circulating again and again. At the end of October last year, Cathy confirmed the love affair for the first time. “I’ve been thinking for a long time about when and if I should say something publicly about the breakup. Now it feels right and the time has come,” said Cathy Hummels when asked by the German Press Agency about her documentation “Cathy Hummels – Everything Open Beginning”. In mid-December, the former dream couple finally divorced. Since then, Mats and Cathy have gone their separate ways, but they still pull together for their son Ludwig.
