In the picture she posted, she stands in front of a dining table with a broad smile and holds the baby in her arms, which can be seen from behind. Hummels explains: “I’m so happy because my brother and his partner Jakob became a father.” She used the hashtags #bestparents (German: “best parents”), #proudauntie (“proud aunt”) and #welcomebabyboy (“welcome little boy”). The 35-year-old did not reveal the name of her nephew in the post.
In May, Cathy Hummels spoke to RTL about her brother’s offspring plans. “It’s very exciting for me that my brother and his partner Jakob are becoming parents and I’m really happy for them both because I know what a long process and ordeal it was for them both and how much money it cost them .” She added, “The journey of surrogacy has been very difficult with a lot of sadness.”
Cathy Hummels’ son is definitely happy about his little cousin. Ludwig is five years old and comes from the presenter’s marriage to soccer star Mats Hummels, 34. The couple married in 2015 and the two have been divorced since 2022.
