A resident was taken to hospital with suspected smoke inhalation. The amount of material damage could not yet be stated. Fire investigators examined the scene of the fire and ruled out a technical or electrical cause. Based on the results of the investigation, it was said that there was arson in the basement. Three fire departments with 70 members were in action on Saturday evening. The criminal investigations by the Burgenland State Criminal Police Office are continuing.
