CES 2022 – Intel begins shipping Arc Alchemist graphics cards to OEMs

BRIEF // Intel is taking another step forward in what should be its return to the forefront of high-performance graphics cards for the consumer market. Arc Alchemist cards are currently being delivered, but only for OEMs.

We were expecting CES to be the scene of announcements for Intel’s new consumer graphics cards. It’s a bit of a cold shower. Still scheduled for the course of the first quarter, the first generation of high performance graphics cards from Intel only benefited from a very rapid take to the fore.

We learn that the Arc Alchemist are being delivered, but only for integrators. Intel’s partners are the usual manufacturers of fixed and laptop computers (Acer, ASUS, Clevo, Dell, Gigabyte, Haier, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, MSI or even NEC). About fifty machines would be equipped with these graphics cards.

Intel takes the opportunity to remind that Arc Alchemist graphics cards “Will deliver industry-leading advanced features, such as hardware-accelerated raytracing, AI-driven scaling Xe Super Sampling (XeSS) technology, and Intel® Deep Link technology.”.

It remains to be seen when these computers will actually be made available to customers. We are now mostly looking forward to a retail release date and to learn a little more about these graphics cards.
