Full details are expected to be revealed during the THESEbut the little portable console from MSI obviously couldn’t wait.

Just yesterday, we talked about the first stage of MSI’s communication, which slowly wanted to increase the pressure around its arrival in the world of portable consoles.

It only took a few hours to put together this great marketing strategy with a rather massive leak which gives a glimpse of the beast as well as its main technical characteristics.

Intel plays the game…

And to think that Intel had played the game. In response to MSI’s warning tweet, the American brand went with its falsely “questioning” message. Three little emojis… and patatras.

In the process, our colleagues from VideoCardz have brought together several sources to discuss the first precise information about this console which we can therefore already call “CLAW”. Information to be categorized among rumors while awaiting official confirmation, but which could not seem more reliable.

First surprise, there is therefore no question of an AMD base like on most of the competitors and the rumor confirms the little knowing message from Intel on X.com: the CLAW would be powered by a very recent Core Ultra 7 155H.

Meteor Lake architecture, this chip has 16 cores in total for 22 threads: we are talking about 6 efficient cores, 8 efficient cores and another 2 SoC cores in accordance with Meteor Lake standards.

For this CPU part, there seems to be a boost frequency of 4.8 GHz, but it is especially the GPU part that arouses our curiosity since we are talking here about 8 Xe-Cores at 2.25 GHz, the maximum possible at Meteor Lake. The Core Ultra is said to have a TDP of 28 watts with a max turbo power of 115 watts. In addition, it is supported by 32 GB of RAM, double what ASUS and Lenovo offer on their AMD machines.

Unsurprisingly, many features are still mysterious, but the fact that a manufacturer of MSI’s weight is turning to Intel bodes well for an interesting match between the two CPU/GPU giants.
