French cinema has celebrated the memory of Jean-Paul Belmondo with dignity through a sometimes amusing, sometimes moving montage of his iconic films.
A standing ovation for Bébel… It was the least French cinema could do to pay tribute to the immense Jean-Paul Belmondo. At the end of a montage of extracts from his essential roles, the public at the Olympia stood up, before applauding warmly in memory of the eternal Pierrot le fou.
