Chadwick Boseman: His death report breaks Barack Obama's Twitter record

The sympathy for Chadwick Boseman is huge. This shows, among other things, the fact that a new Twitter record has been set.

With the shocking news that "Black Panther" star Chadwick Boseman has passed away at the age of 43, a record was set on Twitter. A record that shows the tremendous sympathy that the dead Marvel hero and his loved ones around the world receive. Over 6.4 million people greeted the touching words in memory of Boseman with hearts, and over three million people retweeted them.

Boseman died of colon cancer that he was diagnosed with in 2016 and that he has battled for the past four years. The tweet reads, among other things: "As a true fighter, Chadwick stood firm and gave you many of the films you love so much." The productions of the past few years were therefore "filmed during and between countless operations and chemotherapy".

A black and white picture of the Hollywood star was posted. It was the greatest "honor of his life" that he was allowed to slip into the role of King T'Challa aka "Black Panther". "He died in his home surrounded by his wife and family."

Barack Obama replaced

Never before in the history of the social network Twitter has a contribution been given more hearts. The previous record holder came from Barack Obama (59) in 2017. He shared a picture at the time of children of different skin colors and a quote from Nelson Mandela which states: "Nobody is born with hatred of other people because of their skin color, background or religion." Obama's post collected 4.3 million likes and 1.6 million retweets.
