Qualified at the end of the suspense in the round of 16 of the Champions League, after their draw at Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday evening (1-1), Paris Saint-Germain was able to count on the support of Thibault Pinot, former cyclist recently retired and present in the Parisian ultras park at Signal Iduna Park.

Perfectly blended into the mass of 3,800 Parisian supporters present in the aisles of Signal Iduna Park, he did not, however, escape the Canal + cameras. Former cyclist Thibaut Pinot, recently retired and a great lover of Paris Saint-Germain, was present Wednesday evening in Dortmund where PSG was playing for its future in the Champions League.

A football enthusiast

In the images captured by the co-broadcaster of the meeting, we see him beer in hand, Collectif Ultras Paris scarf around his neck, cap backwards and wearing a VA-91 sweatshirt (Virage Auteuil-1991). All with a smile from ear to ear. He was thus able to savor the qualification of the Parisians at the end of an intense match, concluded with a score of parity (1-1) and which allowed Luis Enrique’s men to validate their ticket for the round of 16.

Already present at the Stade Bollaert in Lens, to attend the meeting between the Sang et Or and PSV Eindhoven at the end of October (1-1), the ex-runner of the Groupama-FDJ team is taking advantage of his new free time to devote himself to his passion for football. Last summer, he said goodbye to the world of cycling during the Tour de France. His ascent of the Petit Ballon, alone in the lead on his Franche-Comté lands, in front of a swarm of spectators totally committed to his cause, will remain as one of the great moments of this 2023 edition of the Grande Boucle.
