Camping Price Analysis 2023: Where you can still camp cheaply in Germany
In a European price comparison, Germany is still one of the cheapest camping countries. But even within the republic there are hefty price differences. A ranking of the federal states shows where the republic is still cheapest for campers.

Spring has begun and with it the camping season. Although vacationing with a campervan, caravan or tent is still one of the cheapest forms of vacation, campsite prices have risen enormously across Europe. This was the result of the price analysis by Pincamp, the camping portal of the ADAC. According to this, Croatia is the most expensive camping country in Europe this year in a European comparison. Here vacationers have to spend one night at the campsite with electricity and sanitary facilities for two adults with a child on average

Campsite fees in Germany increased by 11 percent
In comparison, Germany is fantastically cheap. But camping has also become more expensive in this country. Because the campsite prices have also increased in the Federal Republic by 11 percent compared to the previous year. This is the average price in Germany for this year
Thuringia cheapest federal state for campers in Germany
If you take a closer look at the individual federal states, there are also large price differences in Germany. How much a family consisting of two adults and a ten-year-old child has to pay per night for a parking space with electricity and sanitary facilities with a shower and how high the price increase is compared to the previous year can be found in the ranking – from cheap to expensive:
1. Thuringia: 35.07 euros
The price is 2.5 percent higher than last year.
2. North Rhine-Westphalia: 36.84 euros
The price is 0.5 percent lower than last year.
3. Saxony-Anhalt: 37.13 euros
The prices are 12 percent above the previous year’s level.
4. Hesse: 39.68 euros
In Hesse, prices have risen by 16 percent.
5. Lower Saxony: 39.98 euros
In Lower Saxony, prices have risen by 13 percent.
6. Saarland: 40.24 euros
Saarland has recorded a price increase of 25 percent.
7. Rhineland-Palatinate: 40.38 euros
Campsite prices have increased by 12 percent compared to the previous year.
8. Saxony: 42.19 euros
Campsite prices have increased by 12 percent compared to the previous year.
9. Baden-Württemberg: 43.76 euros
Campsite prices have increased by 9 percent compared to the previous year.

Camping prices are 13 percent higher than last year.

Conclusion:
Campers find the cheapest accommodation in Thuringia, while Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is the most expensive federal state when it comes to camping site prices. Saarland experienced the strongest price increase with a plus of 25 percent. Even if the Saarland is priced more in the middle with 40.24 euros.
