A little early for Christmas, Chevrolet gave us a wonderful gift by leaking images of its future Corvette hybrid.

And good news, this new hybrid model should arrive in concessions next summer.

The Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray unveiled in advance

At the very end of April, the giant General Motors confirmed the future arrival of an electrified version of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. The group then evoked a hybrid version, which should precede a 100% electric version. Very recently, the manufacturer leaked this long-awaited Corvette E-Ray on the “Internets”.

The configurator put online by Chevrolet was quickly withdrawn, but many people took care to take many screenshots to discover this future E-Ray to come. The opportunity to also learn that at its launch, this new Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray will be available in three colors namely: Cacti, Riptide Blue Metallic, and finally Sea-Wolf Gray Tri-Coat.

Launch planned for summer 2023

If the marketing is not planned before next summer, the new Corvette E-Ray has however let out some precious details including a look obviously very close to the Z06. However, the configurator did not offer any technical specifications concerning this future hybrid model.

However, the most curious will have noticed the presence on board of a specific button, aimed at activating/deactivating the braking energy recovery system. Under the hood, there will be a V8 block whose power will be sent to the rear wheels. At the front, there should be two electric motors, for all-wheel drive.

In addition, the model displayed in the configurator has no charging port, and you will obviously have to wait for the 100% electric model to be able to connect your Chevrolet to a power outlet. However, we will have to wait until the official announcement to know everything about this first hybrid Corvette.
