According to information from France Info, the decision was announced at a meeting organized by the Secretary of State for Children and Families, Adrien Taquet, on Friday April 2.

Thus, if nurseries and schools are closed until April 26, parents can still use maternal assistance during this period of confinement. If they decide to keep their child at home, they will be compensated up to 80% of their net salary. On the other hand, if it is the maternal assistant who refuses to take dependent children, she will not be compensated, reports BFM TV.

Asked by France Info, Nathalie DiorĂ©, confederal secretary of the CSAFAM (Confederation of unions of family assistants and childminders), calls for the greatest responsibility of parents “For recourse to the maternal assistant in case of extreme necessity”.
