Christian Kahrmann had to cope with two heavy losses in the past few months: Both parents died of the corona virus. Does Kahrmann feel responsible for this? The actor comments on this now.

Actor Christian Kahrmann (49) fell ill with COVID-19 in spring 2021. His parents also contracted the disease and died after a severe course. Is Kahrmann guilty of the death of his parents?

Christian Kahrmann: “What nobody can say: that I infected my parents”

The “Lindenstrasse” actor had himself tested for the virus after visiting his parents due to the first symptoms. The test results were positive and Kahrmann immediately went into quarantine. His illness was severe and the actor had to be put into an artificial coma for three weeks. When he woke up, he learned that his parents and sister had also been infected with the coronavirus. His father died while Kahrmann was fighting for his own life in an artificial coma. Who was infected from whom could no longer be traced. “What nobody can say: that I infected my parents”, emphasized the 49-year-old in an interview with “BUNTE”.

Christian Kahrmann: “It’s all bad enough”

He doesn’t blame himself and his family and friends have never blamed him for the death of his parents. “You can’t even say that I was to blame for my parents’ death.” His mother ultimately died of cancer. Corona was added. “It’s all bad enough. To blame it on me borders on character assassination,” says Christian annoyed.

So is the actor today

Kahrmann is now grieving in waves. “Sometimes I cry snot and water, then I’m composed again,” he admitted. During his rehab, the former “Benny Beimer” actor and his sister had to plan the mother’s funeral and at the same time try to get back on their feet. He’s feeling a little better now, but the disease has marked him. Christian’s greatest wish is to be able to go back to work. “I really want to be in front of the camera again,” he explains.
