Feasts are a must at Christmas time. However, if you want to look after your figure and health, you should enjoy it in moderation. Because: Cookies, roasts and the like usually hide a lot of calories. With the right amount of exercise, however, they can be trained off again.

Gingerbread vs. Cross trainer

The guilty conscience doesn't have to be as great with gingerbread as with other delicacies. Nevertheless: 356 calories are added to 100 grams. To get rid of that, you need a 30-minute unit on the cross trainer – and that at a fast pace.

Dominoes vs. slow jogging

Chocolate, gingerbread, marzipan and a little bit of fruit: dominoes belong on the table at Christmas. The calorie content is impressive, however: one domino has 55 calories, 387 calories per 100 grams. If you want to compensate for this, you can jog for 45 minutes – at least at a slow pace.

Cinnamon stars vs. fast jogging

Cinnamon stars are also among the Christmas classics. In addition to almonds, hazelnuts, egg white and cinnamon, they also contain a lot of sugar. How many calories are there in 100 grams? A whopping 401. To burn that off, you have to jog at a fast pace for 25 minutes.

Speculoos vs. Strength training

Speculoos biscuits have a lot to offer. They are made from shortcrust pastry that contains lots of butter and sugar. The spicy Christmas treat has an impressive 420 calories at 100 grams. Strength training with dumbbells and weights for 55 minutes compensates for this.

Vanilla Kipferl vs. To go biking

The Germans are particularly fond of vanilla croissants. The nutty and buttery taste is no accident. 100 grams have a whopping 483 calories, 30 grams of which are fat. If you have time and good weather, you can compensate for this with a short bike ride – 50 minutes of cycling burns around 480 calories.

Christmas goose, dumplings and red cabbage vs. To run
