CINEMA: Scream 7 already formalized with a new director at the helm

Spyglass Media Group And Paramount Pictures have offered a second life to the saga Scream in 2022 with a feature film that serves as both a sequel and a reboot, reality by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. The two friends went back behind the camera to Scream VI this year and, of course, another movie is already planned.

As reported The Hollywood Reporter, a seventh film Scream is already in preparation at the house of spyglass And Paramount. However, Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett will not direct this new opus, too busy on a horror film from an unprecedented franchise to Universal Pictures. But since the studios don’t want to waste time, Christopher Landon will direct this Scream 7he who is already known for having made both happy birthday, Freaky or We Have a Ghost and scripted several Paranormal Activity. Nothing says however that he will take care of the script of this Scream 7with the latter two films being scripted by James Vanderbilt, Guy Busick and Kevin Williamson.

The map of the Paramount is clear: surf on the hype of Scream (2022) and Scream VI as soon as possible, but the production of Scream 7 will only begin after the end of the writers’ and actors’ strike which affects Hollywood, the cast would not have signed a contract to participate in the film at the present time. Waiting to find out Scream 7 in theaters on an as yet unknown date, you can pre-order all six films at €69.99 on Amazon.
