CINEMA: The Marvels, a final, totally epic trailer before the release

The interest surrounding the Marvel Cinematic Universe is clearly not at its best level with a large part of the public and it is in this rather cold climate that The Marvels will hit theaters this week, starting this Wednesday in France and Friday in the United States. Once is not custom, a final trailer was released last night, which shows a lot compared to the last video of the genre dating back to the San Diego Comic-Con 2023 in July and which begins above all with about twenty seconds surfing on the past glory of MCU. Indeed, we are entitled to scenes from previous projects highlighting Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), time travelAvengers: Endgame, Carol Danvers And Nick Fury in the movie Captain Marvelas well as the end of Thanos thanks to the sacrifice ofIron Man. This handful of seconds made more than one react on social networks, accusing Marvel Studios to be desperate to the point of playing hard on nostalgia. This is probably partly true, but this at least has the merit of serving as a reminder of the events leading to the situation of the feature film.

This time the song Intergalactic of the Beastie Boys and the tone that went with it are not part of the game, because this trailer puts everything on the dramatic and epic side, showcasing the threat that will pose Dar Benn (Zawe Ashton)who intends to perpetuate the work of Thanos. We find it like this Universal Weapon in hand, since it is one of the Kree AccusersAnd equipping himself with a bracelet similar to that worn by Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), who had awakened in her her powers connecting her to the dimension Noor.

In addition to seeing an armada of ships land under the orders of Dar Benn via jump points, the network of wormholes already seen in the various projects involving intergalactic travel, the latter will literally create a breach in the very fabric of space-time, which according to Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) gives direct access to another reality. Do we have a Incursion in due form as a threat to be avoided? This would have the merit of linking the plot to one of the elements which should lead to Avengers: Secret Wars and which has already been discussed in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Monica will also try to reform this gaping hole using its abilities. Another interesting detail, Dar Benn said Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) that our heroines’ powers only make them more powerful. This tends to make his threat even more credible.

On the other hand, where it shows too much is that a shot clearly highlights the body of this antagonist falling apart, while she has put on a second bracelet, undoubtedly taken from Miss Marvel… Let’s hope that this simply foreshadows a transformation or other threat in the final act of the film, because otherwise it would be very disappointing. Fans of Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) will also be entitled to a cameo. As for the end of the video (before the humorous scene), it serves as a big teaserif the rest wasn’t already enough to bring fans into theaters.

If you need to refresh your memory or haven’t seen the series WandaVision And Miss Marvel, a recap focused on the three heroines and their past adventures has been posted online. The film Captain Marvel still remains the basis to have seen to enjoy this sequel. Another video shows us behind the scenes, with Brie Larson discussing the general plot of the project and brief words from the other main actresses.
