Cisco: acquisition of Working Group Two from Telenor

(CercleFinance.com) – The American network equipment manufacturer Cisco is to buy Working Group Two, a technology company incubated by the Norwegian telecom operator Telenor, for an amount of 150 million dollars.

The announcement was made on Thursday by Telenor, which will sell its 44.6% stake in the company to Cisco, which it ended up splitting in 2017.

Working Group Two, which started as a simple project within Telenor’s structures, has set up a ‘cloud’ platform for mobile operators that allows them to accelerate their innovation and reduce time to market of their services.

The company, which started with just five employees, now has 90 with customers based in Europe, North America and Asia.
