Dynamo Dresden threatens to gamble away the return to the 2nd Bundesliga. Thanks to the Meppen victory, VfL Osnabrück now has promotion to the 2nd division in its own hands. If the purple-whites win against Borussia Dortmund II on Saturday and defend their better goal difference against SV Wehen Wiesbaden, coach Tobias Schweinsteiger’s team will be promoted directly.
In front of 9767 spectators, Ahmet Arslan gave the promotion favorites from Saxony the lead with a penalty kick in the 24th minute.
