30-year-old becomes a millionaire by cleaning

Fearless against the worst dirt: Impressive cleaning videos made Auri a social media star.

She just enjoys cleaning: 30-year-old Auri Kanenen has become surprisingly rich with her cleaning videos.

Really run-down messie houses are her favorite destination: Norwegian Auri Kanenen feels most comfortable in exactly the accommodations that most of us would probably run away from in shock. But where many people see only patches of mold and layers of dirt, Auri sees a sparkling clean apartment that just needs a little work.

“The dirtier the better!”

Auri fearlessly plunges into mountains of garbage, rotten food leftovers and mold colonies and seems to be in her element. “It’s just incredibly satisfying when you wipe away a really thick layer of dust. It’s the best feeling ever,” she told the British portal Wales Online. She never treats the residents of the run-down houses and apartments condescendingly, but with a lot of compassion: “Normally the person has some kind of illness, sometimes they have a trauma,” says Auri. “Some have physical limitations that limit their mobility, so they can’t keep their house very clean.”

Clean thing: These cleaning videos inspire an audience of millions

In fact, she manages seemingly effortlessly to make homes shine again for which any help seems too late. She now reaches a mass audience with her videos and currently has almost 3.4 million followers on Instagram alone. No wonder: when she’s peppy and cheerful, making things like a crusty sink flash like new in front of the camera, it’s also very satisfying to watch – at least to the point where we catch ourselves doing our own, far less dirty one , bathroom could also look like this. In the video you can see for yourself how incredibly effective Auri can completely transform run-down apartments.
