Serious accidents with motorcycle and moped drivers occurred on Friday morning in Viehhofen and Irrsdorf. The seriously injured motorcycle drivers had to be taken to the accident hospital, the car drivers were uninjured.
Two two-wheeler drivers were seriously injured in collisions with cars. In Viehhofen, a 61-year-old from Pinzgau overtook a car and hit the trailer of a car that had just turned. He was flown to the Salzburg accident hospital in the Martin 6 emergency doctor’s helicopter. The driver of the car and his passenger were unharmed.
In another accident in Irrsdorf, a 52-year-old moped driver disregarded a stop sign and crashed into a car. The seriously injured moped driver was taken to the accident hospital in Salzburg by the ambulance. The uninjured 65-year-old driver was not drunk, and an alcohol test was not possible with the moped driver.
