During the show, the rapper notably mentioned his former companions, mothers of his three sons Matisse, Khalil and Marcello. At age 55, JoeyStarr is a proud dad. In September 2005, the rapper welcomed his first child, Matisse, then a second, named Khalil, in August 2007, both from his relationship with Leïla Dixmier. Finally, in January 2015, he became a father for the third time with the arrival of Marcello, the fruit of his love with a certain Irene, who has always been very discreet. Usually very discreet about his private life, JoeyStarr has agreed to talk about his sons, who seem to have received a particularly strict education from their mothers. “On the screens you are hard for example with your children?, asked Léa Salamé. To which the rapper replied: “Well no because I’m not alone and it’s not at all pejorative but I did them with two beautiful competition pains”.

In November 2020, in the portrait of the week of Seven to Eight, JoeyStarr had already confided in his children and their education. “I believe that all the people I have loved have been able to awaken my feminine side, my delicacy. Me, I learned tenderness with my children…“, he explained, before adding: “I am vigilant with my children and they make me feel good, it works at school. We made three good guys, three real good guys! (…) We have one who is 15 years old, he already knows what he wants to do in life. He is already registered in it. The other, he’s 13, he’s a dabbler, I don’t understand… The guy has an average of 17 even though he’s extraordinarily nonchalant. I think he works at speed. And then after, there is one who is 5 years old. Normally, at that age, you must be at 400/500 questions a day. He is at 3000, with Mickey’s voice!“
